Project Management: Online Undergraduate Certificate

In this program, you will:

  • Apply project management principles across projects, programs, and portfolios.
  • Build practical skills in project quality management, risk assessment, and control.
  • Learn tools for initiating, planning, and closing projects effectively.

Fully online and designed to fit your schedule, the program can be completed in as few as six months. Plus, the credits you earn are stackable toward a CSU Global bachelor’s degree, giving you room to grow in your career.

The certificate program consists of 18 credits in the following two sets.

For students enrolled in the 27-unit certificate that includes leadership fundamentals, the program begins with three essential courses:

  • MGT200: Business and Technology Professional Studies
  • COM304: Academic and Career Success
  • ORG100: Personal Leadership and Academic Success or ORG300: Applying Leadership Principles

Note: The choice between ORG100 and ORG300 will be determined through advising, tailored to align with each student’s individual learning experiences.

  1. Students must take the following courses:
    1. PJM310 – Introduction to Project Management
    2. PJM330 – Effective Project Scheduling and Control
    3. PJM380 – Project Management Tools
  2. In addition to the above three courses, students are required to select three of the following
    courses:

    1. PJM400 – Project Procurement and Contract Management
    2. PJM405 – Fundamentals of Agile Methodologies
    3. PJM410 – Assessing and Managing Risk
    4. PJM440 – Project Quality Management

Learning Outcomes

As an undergraduate student earning your Certificate in Project Management, you will gain and apply project leadership theories and practical applications for individual and organizational success. Additional learning outcomes include the following:
