Colorado State University Global
Press Release
Colorado State University Global is pleased to announce that its headquarters building received a Merit Award from Engineering News-Record Mountain States for Best Small Project.
Each year, leading architectural and engineering industry publication Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine reports on the top design firms’ and construction companies’ projects in the United State and around the world. ENR Mountain States has named CSU Global’s Aurora, Colo., headquarters a 2020 Best Small Project Merit Award winner across a seven-state region, including Utah, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
Aug. 8, 2020, marks the one year anniversary of CSU Global’s ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the facility’s grand opening. An innovative partnership between CSU Global and Aurora Public School District (APS) allows APS to utilize the university’s lease payments in a variety of ways – including reduced tuition and scholarship opportunities for APS high school students. APS alumni, faculty, and staff are also eligible for deeply reduced CSU Global tuition rates, giving them the option to participate in affordable and flexible professional-development opportunities. While CSU Global staff is not currently working from the headquarters due to COVID-19, CSU Global remains fully operational and continues to serve and support modern learners around the world.
About the APS/CSU Global Partnership:
In 2019, CSU Global entered into a 10-year property lease from Aurora Public School District. This innovative partnership was approved through Colorado State Legislature, and with the passage of Senate Bill 16-209, was then voted on by the citizens of Aurora as part of a 2016 bond measure for APS. Because of this partnership, APS is able to provide scholarships and deeply-reduced or free options for students to earn a certificate or college degree after graduating from high school.
