Earn Your K-12 Teaching Credentials While You Earn Your Master's Degree

Today’s K-12 students need dedicated, passionate teachers. That’s why we’re working to help adults like you—who have the talent and the determination to become great teachers—get trained, licensed, and into the classroom as quickly as possible. CSU Global is partnering with TeacherReady™, an accredited online licensure program, so you can earn your K-12 teacher license while you earn your master’s degree from CSU Global. While most of our students in the TeacherReady™ program choose to earn their M.S. in Teaching and Learning, you can combine TeacherReady™ with any CSU Global master’s degree program. TeacherReady™ replaces the specialization requirement for your master’s degree.

TeacherReady™ is part of the University of West Florida’s Professional Education Unit. It is accredited by the National Council on the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). In your online courses through TeacherReady™, you’ll learn the latest teaching techniques and theory. The program will also place you with a mentor teacher in your area, who will guide you through field experiences and classroom teaching. You’ll be able to integrate the knowledge you gain from online courses with direct experience teaching K-12 students.

If you have any questions, please contact an Enrollment Counselor at 800-462-7845 or enroll [at] csuglobal.edu for additional information.

Course Requirements

Every CSU Global online master’s degree requires a total of 36 semester hours of credit. You’ll complete 24 credit hours of major coursework for your M.S. in Teaching and Learning or the master's degree of your choice online through CSU Global. You’ll earn your remaining 12 credit hours through your TeacherReady™ coursework and field experience.

You can complete your TeacherReady™ program at any time before you finish your capstone course in one of our master’s degree program. The TeacherReady program is nine months long. Your field experiences will range from two to five hours per week, except for the last week of the program, when you’ll be in the classroom full time.

TeacherReady™ has continuous enrollment, and CSU Global’s terms start every four weeks. Apply today and get started soon!
