For which programs at CSU Global may I apply my Career Choice benefit?

You may select any bachelor’s degree or undergraduate certificate. We offer 15 bachelor’s degrees , over 20 specializations to help you customize your degree, and 11 standalone, industry-respected undergraduate credit-bearing certificates to help you achieve your dreams. Please work with your CSU Global Amazon Enrollment Counselor to select the right program for you. While the Amazon Career Choice benefit won’t cover graduate tuition, if a graduate certificate or degree is right for you, you can take advantage of a special discounted tuition rate as an Amazon Associate. Speak with your CSU Global Amazon Enrollment Counselor or Financial Aid Advisor to help you plan your graduate education.

How do I access my Amazon Career Choice tuition payment benefits?

In order for Amazon Career Choice to initiate payment, you must be already accepted to your school and be enrolled in classes. To request payment from Amazon Career Choice, visit amazoncareerchoice.com and submit a payment request for your chosen school and program. The request will be sent to the school to confirm course level details, and either approve or deny the request. If approved, Amazon will pay the school directly.

Does Amazon Career Choice pay for a master's degree?

Your Amazon Career Choice benefit does not cover any graduate certificate or degree programs. However, we are happy to extend an exclusive rate to Amazon associates interested in any of our graduate degrees or graduate credit-bearing certificates. While your Amazon Career Choice benefit won’t cover graduate tuition, one of our Financial Aid Advisors can help you figure out the best way to pay for your graduate education at CSU Global. Moreover, students who complete their Bachelor’s degree with CSU Global are eligible for a reduced Alumni graduate tuition rate. Does Amazon have tuition reimbursement?

Sort of. Through Amazon Career Choice, eligible employees receive prepaid tuition and direct funding for approved education programs. It’s not tuition reimbursement because Amazon Career Choice either pre-pays or funds it directly. Career Choice covers undergraduate degrees and approved credit-bearing certificates aligned with in-demand career pathways. Funding caps are the same for eligible hourly and salaried employees. At CSU Global, that means you can apply your Career Choice benefit toward your first bachelor’s degree or an approved certificate without paying upfront and waiting for reimbursement.

My Career Choice payment request was approved by Amazon, but I have decided to delay my start. Do I have to cancel my payment request and redo it?

Not necessarily. Your Career Choice payment request covers you as long as you start class within 90 days from the day you applied for it. If it will be more than 90 days from when you received approval for your payment request until when you start classes with us, you will need to cancel the request and then apply for a new one.

Do I need to submit a new payment request every term?

Yes, you will need to submit a new Career Choice payment request from Amazon before each term when you want to take a course.

Are online schools included in Amazon Career Choice?

Yes. Amazon partners with approved institutions, including fully online universities like CSU Global. CSU Global is part of the Colorado State University System and was built specifically for working adults. Our programs are 100% online, delivered in accelerated 8-week courses, and designed to fit around full-time work.

How do I know if an online education is right for me?

For Amazon associates, CSU Global offers SmarterMeasure, an online tool that can help you to understand how a variety of factors and attributes in your life may impact your experience earning an online education. When you are ready to get started, your Enrollment Counselor will provide you with a link to the SmarterMeasure tool.

What if I'm not sure what program or degree is the best fit for me?

CSU Global offers several pathways to help you determine the best degree or program for you. Discuss your interests and goals with your Enrollment Counselor. Explore the free job skills tool to help you learn what career fields and programs of study are the best fit for your personality and interests. (More info will be available soon!)

Can I use career choice to study anything I want?

Career Choice supports programs aligned with approved career pathways. That means not every degree or certificate qualifies. At CSU Global, eligible programs include your first bachelor’s degree and approved undergraduate certificates in areas like technology, supply chain, construction, and community health. Each certificate must align with an approved career path and CIP code to qualify for funding. If you’re unsure whether a program qualifies, we’ll help you confirm before you enroll.

What CSU Global certificate programs are not part of the Career Choice program?

At this time, the following certificate programs are not included in the Career Choice program. Career Choice focuses on pathways that align directly with high-demand technical and workforce roles such as Software Developer, IT Support Specialist, Data Analyst, Supply Chain Specialist, Construction, and Community Health Worker. How long will it take me to get started?

How many credits can I take each year?

Your Student Success Counselor or one of our Financial Aid Advisors are ready to help you plan a course of study that takes into account your Amazon Career Choice benefit amount, your preferred timeline to graduate, and your personal circumstances.

Can I receive credit for professional training, military experience, or previous credits earned from other schools?

Yes, CSU Global accepts transfer credits from a wide variety of sources so you can take advantage of your previous skills and experiences to transfer in credit toward your academic goals. You can enter your previous credits into our CareerSource Transfer Evaluation System Tool anytime you want to instantly get an idea of what credits may transfer. Or, speak with your CSU Global Enrollment Counselor to determine how your prior professional training, military experience, or previously earned credits may transfer to our programs.

I am already a student at CSU Global. Can I take advantage of the new Amazon Career Choice Benefit?

Will I have any out-of-pockets costs?

As long as you are eligible for the Amazon Career Choice benefit, it is possible to plan your program of study so you do not have any out-of-pocket costs, and your Student Success Counselor or one of our Financial Aid Advisors can help you to understand and leverage your Amazon Career Choice benefit. With one of the lowest tuition rates in higher education and no student fees, we’re sure you’ll agree that CSU Global is a tremendous value. What happens if I cease to be eligible for the Amazon Career Choice benefit?

From Amazon Associate to Area Manager: Cristal’s Story

Cristal Lara knew returning to school would require sacrifice—but she also knew it could change the trajectory of her career.

Going back to school wasn’t simple. Shortly after enrolling, her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Balancing caregiving, work, and coursework tested her resolve.
