Donate Now

When life throws an unexpected obstacle in a student’s path, it shouldn’t mean the end of their educational journey. Your gift provides immediate, critical relief to CSU Global students facing sudden personal or financial emergencies, helping them stay enrolled in their classes and on track to graduate.

Our History & Legacy: Honoring a Visionary

CSU Global’s Emergency Aid Grant was initially funded through an Ellucian Foundation grant and continued through private donations to support students facing financial hardships that may inhibit their ability to remain enrolled in their academic programs. Students receive a one-time grant of up to $500, based on eligibility, to support identified needs for food, rent, healthcare, and education.

Since its inception in 2024, the fund has helped over 200 students stay on the path to graduation.

To honor the profound life, legacy, and lifelong mission of CSU Global’s late president and CEO, the fund has been proudly renamed the Dr. Becky Takeda-Tinker Emergency Aid Fund.

As the first president of CSU Global in 2010, Dr. Takeda-Tinker was a true visionary. She helped pioneer the nation’s first fully online public university, permanently changing the landscape of higher education. Her career was defined by an unyielding commitment to student-centered service and to creating accessible pathways for post-traditional learners to better their lives.

To ensure her impact continues to be felt for generations, the CSU System Board of Governors continuously provides $25,000 in funding for this grant. By donating, you join this legacy and help us expand our reach to even more students in moments of need.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference

Students juggling work, life, and school often live on tight margins. A single emergency, such as an unexpected medical bill, a sudden car breakdown, or a temporary housing crisis, can disrupt their future.
