Colorado State University Global
CSU Global is committed to creating an educational environment that is safe, inclusive, respectful, and free from sexual harassment and discrimination for all members of its community.
Under Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), we ensure that no one is discriminated against based on sex in any of our education programs or activities. This includes protections for gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, and parenting status and protections against sexual assault, stalking, dating and domestic violence, and other forms of sex-based harassment. View our Discrimination and Harassment policy.
At CSU Global, we act promptly in response to any complaints of sexual harassment or discrimination. We investigate allegations thoroughly and address them appropriately, which may include dismissal from the university or termination of employment. All CSU Global employees, including faculty, are mandatory reporters, and there are provisions for confidential reporting. Please review the Title IX policy effective 2024 for details.
Title IX is a federal civil rights law that was passed as part of the Education Amendments of 1972. It is codified at 20 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. Title IX states:
“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”
Title IX applies to all educational institutions that receive federal financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Education, including most public and private universities, colleges, and schools. For more detailed information, visit the U.S. Department of Education’s Title IX page.
CSU Global does not discriminate based on race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, childbirth, or related conditions, marital status, marriage to a coworker (applies in limited circumstances), religion, age, national origin or ancestry, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other protected class recognized by state or federal law in admission or access to, or treatment, or employment in its programs and activities. Sexual harassment and sexual violence are prohibited forms of sex discrimination.
If you have questions about the university’s compliance with Title IX regulations or want to report a complaint or policy violation, please contact CSU Global’s Title IX Coordinator.

A complaint or policy violation report can be filed anonymously, but providing more details will assist us in conducting a more thorough investigation. Title IX protects individuals from retaliation for reporting discrimination or participating in an investigation or proceeding related to Title IX.
A person may also file a complaint with the appropriate federal, state, or local agency within the time frame required by law. Depending upon the nature of the complaint, the appropriate agency may be the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights (OCR), the Department of Justice, the Equal Opportunity Commission, or another appropriate federal or state agency.
