Thank you for your interest in the CARES Act/HEERF Grant. We have reached the maximum number of grant recipients for this award cycle and the application is now closed. Should additional funding be made available, we will reopen the application and communicate any necessary details.

CSU Global is pleased to announce our ability to distribute CARES Act* funding to eligible students. Individual grants of up to $3,500 will be awarded to eligible students who have had a financial impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This can mean that you experienced a job loss, reduced work hours, incurred additional childcare costs, reduction of employer tuition reimbursement programs, and more.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Admitted or Active school status.
  • Enrolled in three or more credits in the term the funds are requested.
  • Completed current FAFSA on file.
  • Have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $0 (00000 EFC indicated on the FAFSA)

These funds can be applied to any component of the student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or child care. If the student approves, the university can apply these grants directly to the student’s institutional account; however, all students have the option to receive a direct disbursement of the financial aid grant and there is no requirement that the grant be applied to the student’s account.

What is the CARES Act?

It’s the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which was passed by Congress in 2020. The bill’s goal was to distribute economic aid to Americans who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn more here. As part of this initiative, Colorado State University Global has been approved to receive the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund Grant (HEERF Grant) from the Department of Education.
