Military Tuition Assistance Withdraw and Refunds

CSU Global will return any unearned tuition assistance (TA) funds on a proportional basis through at least the 60 percent portion of the period for which the funds were provided. TA funds are earned proportionally during an enrollment period, with unearned funds returned based upon when a student stops attending. Refunds will be processed within 30 days from the date the withdrawal is posted. In instances when a Service Member stops attending due to a military service obligation, students may be eligible to complete the tuition appeal process.

For any student using TA funds to pay for educational costs at CSU Global who withdraws prior to completing 60% of their course(s), CSU Global will return any unearned TA funds to the Government based on a student’s attendance and date of withdrawal. CSU Global will calculate the return of unearned TA funds using the following formula once LDA (last day of attendance) has been determined: Number of days completed / Total days of the course (start to end date) = percent earned Table shows the percentage of TA funds returned according to the last date of attendance and withdrawal from course

This will depend on how much of the term was completed at the time of withdrawal.

Students who are considering a course withdrawal are encouraged to speak with their student success counselor about their options, and the financial and academic prior to making this decision. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions you may have.
