BankMobile Disbursements

We work with BankMobile Disbursements to provide students with an efficient and secure method for receiving financial aid disbursements and other refunds from the university.

BankMobile Disbursements allows you to quickly and easily select your refund preferences and make account changes in real time. It's flexibly designed to meet your individual needs, whether that means a direct deposit to the bank account of your choice, or a paper check sent directly to your home. There is no additional processing time for refunds using BankMobile Disbursements.

Based on student feedback, we now offer the option for students to opt-out of using BankMobile Disbursement and receive a paper check from the university instead. Students who utilize this option will have a check mailed to the address they have on file, as listed in the Student Portal. Please note that this option may take up to 20 days for processing and delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I receive my refund?

All CSU-Global students will automatically receive a validation code in the mail that will be used to select your refund option online. You may also choose to opt-out from using BankMobile Vibe and receive a paper check from CSU-Global directly. Please contact your Student Advisor for more information about either of these options.

What are my options for receiving money?

Through CSU-Global’s alliance with BankMobile Disbursements, you will be mailed a personal code in a green envelope to your home address. Once you have received your kit, you can use any of the following refund methods:

  1. Deposit into your existing bank account: Money will be deposited in one to two business days after funds are released by CSU-Global.
  2. Receive a paper check: A check will be mailed in five to seven business days after funds are released by CSU-Global.
  3. Deposit into a BankMobile Vibe checking account: Money will be deposited on the same business day funds are released by CSU-Global. Please Note: This option requires opening a checking account with BankMobile Vibe. Make sure to read all of the BankMobile Vibe Terms and Conditions associated with opening an account.

If you do not wish to use BankMobile Disbursements' services, you may request CSU-Global mail you a paper check within 20 days of your refund being issued. Please contact your Student Advisor to set up this option.

What is BankMobile Disbursements?

BankMobile Disbursements is a third-party vendor CSU-Global works with to more efficiently process financial aid refunds and other stipends such as outside scholarships and tuition refunds. Through this service, students will have more flexible refund options and will be able to quickly and securely change their selected refund method. Students receive a My CSU-Global Validation Code that can be used to set up direct deposits to a personal checking account, receive a check in the mail, or open an optional checking account through BankMobile Disbursements.

How was BankMobile Vibe selected as a vendor?

CSU-Global carefully selects all the vendors it works with using a multi-departmental process. BankMobile Vibe was one of several companies CSU-Global vetted in order to provide an efficient and secure refund process for our students. BankMobile Vibe came highly recommended from institutions similar to CSU-Global, and it is the most fitting solution in order to provide students with quick, responsive, and helpful support.

Why do I need the My CSU-Global Validation Code?

You will use the My CSU-Global Validation Code to authenticate your student information and select how you want to receive your refund money. Once you have received your kit in the mail, simply view your choices and make your selection at refundselection.com to let CSU-Global know how you'd like to receive money and future financial aid disbursements from the university. Once you have authenticated your student information, you may shred the card if you do not wish to use it outside of the financial services BankMobile Vibe provides for CSU-Global Campus.

How will I get a My CSU-Global Validation Code?

All students will receive their validation codes in the mail at their primary address on file with CSU-Global. Just look for the bright green envelope. If you did not receive a card, please contact your Student Advisor at 877-900-2655 or Advising@CSUGlobal.edu to make sure your address is up to date and request a new card.

How do I opt out of using BankMobile Disbursements?

Contact your Student Advisor to have the BankMobile Vibe Opt Out Form added to your document center in the Student Portal. Once your signed form is submitted and on file, all future refunds will be processed as paper checks directly from CSU-Global.

If you wish to utilize BankMobile Disbursements' services in the future after opting out, you may submit a written request to your Student Advisor who will help you begin the process of activating your preferred refund option.

If I am not a Financial Aid student, do I still need to select a refund option?

Although you might not currently expect money from CSU-Global, you may receive money back in the future. You may drop a class, make an over payment or simply receive assistance you did not expect. Making a selection now ensures that you'll always have this money without delay.

How is my money delivered?

Delivery of refund money is a multi-step process. First, CSU-Global draws funds from the respective loan and/or grant provider and applies it to your student account. Next, they collect and verify that all the information is correct. Once verified, they send the information to BankMobile Disbursements and begin processing any internal paper check requests. This often happens in groups or batches. Once we receive your specific refund information, it is processed as quickly as possible and disbursed according to your selection.

How will I know when my money has been sent?

If you are using BankMobile Disbursements, you will receive an email to the address you entered during setup. You can also view the status online at RefundSelection.com or sign up to receive text messages with convenient mobile alerts.

If you are receiving paper checks from CSU-Global directly, you can email StudentAccounts@CSUGlobal.edu if you do not receive your check after 20 days of your refund being issued.
