You can complete the required 18 credits of graduate coursework, as part of a Master's degree or stand-alone program, in less than one year.
The following 18-credit hour sequence, with the courses taken in numbered order, is designed to provide existing K-12 English teachers with the graduate-level credit in composition, rhetoric, critical analysis, and literature necessary to teach dual-enrollment courses. These graduate-level courses are designed for students who have already completed a 32+ credit hour sequence of undergraduate English courses. For those teachers requiring a Master’s degree, the English sequence courses can be used to fulfill the specialization requirement in CSU Global's M.S. in Teaching and Learning degree.
For financial assistance, see if you qualify for Colorado Center for Rural Education scholarships or stipends.
K-12 educators enrolled in dual-enrollment instruction certification coursework may be eligible to receive a Concurrent Enrollment Educator Qualification certification scholarship of $6,000. The scholarship is for educators in rural Colorado school districts.
