This option is ideal for independent, self-motivated learners looking for accelerated pathways to degree completion. By taking online, proctored exams and scoring 70 percent or more, students can accumulate credits in less time, and at lower cost.
This is an opportunity to earn credits from professional achievement. By presenting a portfolio that demonstrates a level of competence for a specific course (prior learning assessment), or taking abbreviated courses designed to demonstrate gained knowledge and experience, and passing a final test by 70 percent or more, students may earn college credit with less expense in less time.
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), DSST (formerly known as DANTES), and AP (Advance Placement) offer accelerated courses and testing. If passed, students earn college credit toward a degree -- this is another options for those wishing to fast-track their degree program.
