CSU-Global wants to do our part to help support the efforts of our state National Guard members in continuing their education.

As part of our Commitment to Colorado, CSU-Global wants to do our part to help support the efforts of our state National Guard members without taking resources away from the state tuition assistance program. To help off-set the burden on state funds, CSU-Global is proud to offer a tuition scholarship dedicated to our Colorado National Guard members (Army and Air) that is designed to support these students through their education journey at CSU-Global. The application processes and payment schedules are streamlined based around our academic calendar and your educational plans as student so you can have peace of mind when it comes to your financing and concentrate on your coursework.

Award Amounts

Recipients receive tuition funding for up to 6 credits per trimester at the undergraduate level ($1890 per trimester) or 3 credits per trimester at the graduate level ($1350 per trimester). Students must reapply to receive this scholarship each trimester for a total of 18 undergraduate credits or 9 graduate credits per year.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a Colorado National Guard Member for at least six months as one of the following statuses at time of application:
    • Title 10: Deployment, Call Up
    • Title 32: Traditional, AGR, Federal Technician, M-Day
    • Members who are Title 10(Active Duty), Title 38 (Veteran/Retiree) or Reservists will not qualify for this program.
  • Must be a Colorado Resident. The following are considered valid proof of residency documents in the state of Colorado. They must be dated within the past 6 months along with the applicant’s name and Colorado address:
    • Income Sources (Pay stubs, Social Security check stubs)
    • Utility Bills (phone, electric, gas, cable, etc.)
    • State Income tax documents (as full time resident)
    • Leasehold -Lease Agreements – Rent receipts
    • Motor Vehicle Registration
    • Voter Registration Card
  • Must provide the scholarship application which requires confirmation and signature from commanding officer
  • Be in a degree seeking student in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.00 or better in a bachelor’s program, and 3.00 or better in a master’s program. Students in SAP warning or Probation will not qualify for this scholarship
  • Student must complete the course in order to qualify, the scholarship does not cover course withdraws. Student is responsible to pay back the funds paid for withdrawn courses prior to receiving additional scholarship funds.
  • Not eligible to be used for a second degree at the same level or lower level that the student already has obtained (i.e. if you have already earned a bachelor’s degree, this scholarship cannot be used for courses leading to another Bachelor’s degree or a certificate program).
  • The National Guard scholarship covers tuition only and will be reduced by any federal grants, federal or private tuition assistance programs, or scholarships received and applied to tuition (i.e. Pell Grant, Federal Military Tuition Assistance, Vocational Rehabilitation funding, and other scholarships received internally or externally).
  • Students must reapply and be approved every trimester to continue receiving the scholarship.

How to Apply

  1. New students must first complete the university application and be accepted to the university and enrolled in courses. Contact an Enrollment Counselor at 800-920-6723 or email Admissions@CSUGlobal.edu if you have any questions.
  2. Current and admitted must submit the following documentation:
    1. Proof of Colorado Residency
    2. Scholarship application with the required information and signature from their commanding officer
    3. Applications will be reviewed and students will be notified of scholarship prior to the start of the trimester and your scholarship will be added to your student account after census for each term within the trimester.
    4. Students must reapply and be approved every trimester to continue receiving the scholarship.
