Governor John Hickenlooper signed bill Senate Bill 18-101 on Thursday, March 22, which will allow Colorado State University Global (CSU Global) to admit and serve qualified freshmen students residing in Colorado regardless of age or previous college experience. All Colorodans can now enroll in CSU Global’s online, flexible, affordable Bachelor’s degree programs.
CSU Global was founded in 2007 by the Colorado State University System with the unique mission of serving working adults through bachelor’s degree completion and master degree programs. This mandate initially excluded freshman without transfer credits. Colorado Senate Bill 14-114 (signed into law in 2014) and Senate Bill 18-101 (signed into law today) allows CSU Global to admit and serve out-of-state and in-state freshmen without transfer credits, respectively.
As the needs and goals of students in all age groups are changing, more first-time college students are expressing interest in online learning. CSU Global looks forward to serving all of our students, regardless of age or location, to obtain affordable and high-quality degrees and certifications that are tailored to their schedules as well as their academic and professional goals.
