At CSU Global, we understand the importance of education and community. Through Global Gives Back, CSU Global donates $20,000 annually to community-based organizations that have been nominated by staff and full-time faculty every Spring and Fall. In Fall 2019, a total of $8,000 was donated to the following four organizations through the Global Give Back program.
Dr. Tanae Acolatse, Program Chair at CSU Global, nominated Amani Women Center to receive a Global Gives Back donation, which will help support the organization’s programs that educate and empower both refugee and immigrant African communities in Clarkson and Atlanta metro areas.
Nominated by Monica Pemberton, an Enrollment Counselor at CSU Global, Growing Home Inc. also received a Global Gives Back donation, which will go to support the organization's mission to guide children and their families on the path to a brighter future.
Commanders Youth Sports also received a Global Gives Back donation after being nominated by CSU Global Enrollment Counselor, Steven Griffin. Commanders Youth Sports is an all volunteer youth sports organization dedicated to providing quality athletic programs for children in Aurora, Denver, and surrounding metro areas in CO.
Bienvenidos Food Bank was also nominated to receive a Global Gives Back donation by Paul Mascareñas, Assistant Librarian at CSU Global. Bienvenidos Food Bank is an innovative hunger prevention program for families in need, and has served the Denver area for more than 43 years.
CSU Global staff and full-time faculty will have the opportunity to nominate community-based organizations that are doing great work that aligns with the CSU Global mission again in Spring 2020. Learn more.
