During the event, Dr. Skiba discusses how companies should consider the psychological aspects of human behavior when looking at growing trends in technology. Dr. Skiba suggests that organizations should consider behavioral patterns and data outliers when addressing business and fraud strategies.
In his presentation, “The Internet of Things - How to Integrate Psychology with Technology,” Dr. Skiba reveals how psychology can be inserted into business and fraud strategies to help companies not only survive, but thrive in this innovative environment. The event is held in Münchenbryggeriet, Stockholm on March 7-8, 2017.

Dr. Skiba also presents in Breukelen, Netherlands on March 10, 2017 at Nyenrode Business University in the MBA in cyber security and risk department. In his lecture, titled “The Psychology of Fraud: Integrating Criminological Theory into Counter Fraud Efforts,” Dr. Skiba discusses the main component of criminological theory and The Fraud Triangle, specifically applied in a fraud setting. The lecture also features a “hands-on” vulnerability workshop for participants to analyze their own company’s counter fraud programs and assess for effectiveness.
