In April, CSU Global President and CEO Dr. Becky Takeda-Tinker presented the CSU Global online education model at the 2017 Online Education International Forum in Guangdong Sheng, China. The event, which was hosted by Shenzhen University and included more than 100 universities, was designed to advance online learning between the U.S. and China by sharing best practices, promoting U.S. online programs, and fostering a transnational education partnership.
“The CSU Global model represents a new paradigm in online education,” said Takeda-Tinker. “Our utilization of real-time student learning and outcome tracking allows us to create a targeted return on investment for our students.”
Takeda-Tinker continued, “Through our metrics-focused approach, CSU Global is changing education in a way that will refocus the national conversation and allow college graduates to obtain the industry skills they need, while experiencing a rigorous college education.”
CSU Global’s combination of internal evaluations and external data analysis allows the university to constantly evaluate program outcomes, student achievement, and employer needs. This innovative practice creates great opportunities for students to learn real world skills and compete in a global workforce.
Takeda-Tinker’s presentation was accompanied by discussions of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), innovation in education, and cooperative educational frameworks between nations.
