Currently, Colorado has the lowest unemployment rate in the country -- and regional industries are challenged to fill essential business roles. But rather than being forced to search far and wide for qualified candidates, employers can take advantage of higher education opportunities to upskill current employees into new roles, a strategy that leads to higher retention rates and job satisfaction.
To facilitate this strategy, on Oct. 24, 2017, in partnership with the Colorado Business Roundtable (COBRT), CSU Global will host a panel of experts to provide insight on how adult education leads to workforce success. The conference, titled “The New Education Paradigm: Retain and Upskill Employees in Times of Full Employment,” will address the numerous arising questions: how organizations can leverage existing federal programs and university incentives to upskill and retain employees; why continuing higher education, beyond technical and trade training, is useful to employers; and how organizations can create and maximize partnerships to provide employees with effective and mutually beneficial continuing education.
As an industry advocate for Colorado industry, COBRT supports pro-business legislation that strengthens the state economy and allows businesses to grow and thrive throughout the region. Through strategic alliances with industry leaders, chambers of commerce, educational institutions, and governmental bodies, COBRT’s goal is to improve business environments, increase effectiveness, and expand the reach of its partners.
The conference will be held at the Colorado State University Global, 585 Salida Way, Aurora, CO 80011. Beginning at 7:30 a.m., the schedule includes panel discussions and a final question and answer session to conclude at 9 a.m. To register, contact Lisa Gregg at Colorado Business Roundtable: firstname.lastname@example.org or 303-394-6248.
