Online Master of Science in Management
The Master of Science in Management program is for individuals whose careers and management responsibilities transcend a single functional area requiring a broad range of knowledge, skills, and experience. The emphasis of the interdisciplinary, integrated, and practical management degree program applies to startup, small, and large businesses within both the private and public sectors.
The goal of this online master's in management program is to prepare students for upper management and executive level positions by developing key managerial competencies—including systems thinking, critical thinking, economic analysis, competitive advantage, decision making, international competencies, and ethical leadership that can be applied across a range of business venture.

Management Degree Specializations:
In CSU-Global online graduate programs, students choose a core program and then a specialization area, consisting of four (4) courses. Specializations allow students to take a sequence of courses in a career-relevant field. These courses will complement the program of study based on professional and personal interests.

Criminal Justice Leadership

Each core management course in the program incorporates a portfolio-quality project with close supervision and collaboration by the instructor that requires students to apply skills to specific scenarios. The final course in the online Master’s in Management program is designed as a capstone course, in which students apply research and established theory to design an innovative and original approach to address a current problem within the field of organizational management. Students apply established research and theoretical frameworks to address a current organizational challenge. Utilizing knowledge, theories, and research-study understanding gained throughout the program, students analyze and evaluate the organization and then propose constructs for enhancing organizational effectiveness.

RES500 Fundamentals of Quantitative Analysis: Students accepted into this program with an undergraduate GPA below 3.00 may be required to take RES500 as an additional requirement. This course explores four research components: academic writing, business research and descriptive statistics, fundamentals of accounting analysis, and fundamentals of financial analysis.
ORG502 Effective Organizations — Theory and Practice: Gain a contemporary understanding of managing operational and strategic issues in public and private organizations facing accelerated social, economic, and technological changes. This course will examine organizational theory, strategic thinking and management, theories of decision-making, leadership, organizational culture, and change management in a postindustrial society.
ECN500 Global Economics: Examine the theories of international trade and finance, and the influence and impact on management decisions and corporate agreements. Develop an understanding of international monetary issues, and the social, cultural, and governmental effects on the global business.
ORG530 Business Ethics and Sustainability: Explore the economic, environmental, and ethical impact of a sustainable business model. Examine the environmental and ecological challenges facing business worldwide. Analyze and develop skills for creating models for a sustainable business.
ACT500 Managerial Accounting: Understand and apply accounting information for effective financial decision making in the strategic planning process.
FIN500 Principles of Finance: Understand the principles and theories of finance to analyze statements and fiscal information for effective decision-making in today’s competitive environment.
MGT545 Strategic Planning and Innovation: This course is an exploration of the essentials of business, marketing, and innovation in relationship to their impact organizations. The course focuses on setting strategy, developing market opportunity analysis, and goals for an organization with consideration of internal and external resources, market opportunities, and return on investment. Topics include strategy, market opportunity analysis, market research, the use of new technologies, and tactics for achieving competitive advantage.
MGT575 Critical Evaluation of Research and Theory: The emphasis of the course is the critical Evaluation of research and theory in an applied business setting. The course focuses on the comprehension and evaluation of research related to the leading and managing business organizations from both a consumer and creator perspectives. Topics include the research process, theoretical frameworks, qualitative and quantitative approaches, and applied research design within an organizational context.
MGT581 Management-Strategy and Innovation (Capstone): The capstone course brings together the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in the global marketplace. The focus of the course is on defining and researching a practical business problem or entrepreneurial opportunity. The research project provides the opportunity to utilize strategy, research skills, analytical tools and models, as well as decision sciences with a culminating business project that can be of strategic benefit to the student and/or a current organization.
Students who begin in either the M.S. in Management or the M.S. in Organizational Leadership program in 2013 or later may be eligible to participate in the dual degree program. Upon completion of an additional 18 credit hours (54 credit hours total), students who enter this program may be eligible to receive both the M.S. in Management and the M.S. in Organizational Leadership degree. Students must enroll in the Dual Degree Program prior to conferral of their first degree.

Dr. Jama Bradley’s academic and professional background spans the fields of Management, Leadership, and Innovation. Jama holds master certificates in project management and information systems management. Her professional career has been spent assisting organizations in the attainment of competitive advantage through innovative projects. Jama claims to be a bad guitarist, a decent cook, a pretty good parent, and loves to bike, hike, and camp.
Dr. Bradley hold professional certification for both innovation and project management as well as a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with collaterals in Business and Political Science.
